Sending reminders to team members

You can prompt a team member to complete a pending or overdue training by sending them a reminder from the My Team dashboard.

Who this is for

Team Leads (supervisors, foremen, line leads).

When to send a reminder

Consider sending a reminder when:

  • A training is due within the next few days.
  • A team member has an overdue assignment.
  • A member's completion rate has dropped unexpectedly.
  • An important compliance deadline is approaching.

How to send a reminder

  1. Go to My Team in the left navigation menu.
  2. Find the team member you want to remind. Use the search bar if your team is large.
  3. Click the Reminder button on their card.

  1. Confirm the action in the prompt that appears.

The team member receives a notification prompting them to check their pending trainings.

note

Reminders are logged for audit purposes. The log entry records who sent the reminder and when - not the content of any message.

What the team member receives

The team member receives a notification inside Better Comply. Workers with a registered email address may also receive an email, depending on how your administrator has configured notifications.

Kiosk workers without an email address receive the notification the next time they sign in to a shared terminal.

Best practice

  • Send reminders before deadlines, not only after they pass - a heads-up is more effective than a follow-up.
  • Avoid sending repeated reminders in quick succession. If a member is not responding, a direct conversation is more useful than more notifications.
  • If a whole team is falling behind, contact your administrator. The training content or campaign due date may need to be reviewed, not just individual workers.

Trainings you cannot assign

You cannot assign new training campaigns to your team. Assignments are created by administrators through Campaigns. If your team needs a specific training that they do not have, ask your administrator to add it.
