Supervisor overview
As a supervisor in Better Comply, you can monitor your team's training compliance, send reminders, and review progress reports - on top of everything you can do as a learner.
Team Leads (supervisors, foremen, line leads, shift leaders).
What you can do
| Capability | Where |
|---|---|
| See every team member's training status at a glance | My Team dashboard |
| Send a reminder to a team member with pending or overdue work | My Team dashboard |
| Review per-person and per-department completion data | Reports |

| Receive a weekly digest email summarising overdue and due-soon items | Automatic - no setup needed |
You can also complete your own trainings, view your history, and download your certificates. See For learners for those tasks.
Two ways someone can be your report
A worker in Better Comply can have up to two supervisors at the same time. Both supervisors see the worker in their team views and in their weekly digest.
Foreman (direct supervisor)
This is the classic line-management relationship. When an administrator sets you as a worker's foreman (the manager_id field on their profile), that worker appears in your team.
Line lead
This is the supervisor responsible for a worker's production line. When an administrator sets you as a worker's line lead (line_lead_id), that worker also appears in your team - even if they already have a separate foreman.
The same worker can have both a foreman and a line lead. Both supervisors will see the worker's data independently and receive digest emails about them.
How team membership is set
Your team list is configured by an administrator - you cannot add or remove people yourself. If someone is missing from your view, or if you see people who should not be there, contact your administrator and ask them to update the manager_id or line_lead_id on the affected profile.
See I see no team members below for the most common fix.
I see no team members
If your team view is empty:
- Confirm with your administrator that your user account has the Team Lead role.
- Ask your administrator to check that the workers who should be on your team have your user ID set as their
manager_id(foreman) orline_lead_id(line lead). - Once an administrator saves the change, your team view updates immediately - no refresh needed.
