Your notifications

The bell at the top right of every page is your inbox. It tells you what has happened, newest first.

What arrives there

  • A training has been assigned to you.
  • A document or a notice needs your confirmation.
  • A supervisor has sent you a reminder.
  • Something you completed has been recorded.

The number on the bell is how many you have not opened yet.

Reading one

Click a notification and two things happen. It opens the thing it is about, and it stops counting as unread.

If you want to clear everything without opening each one, use Mark all as read at the bottom of the panel.

Nothing disappears when you read it. The panel keeps your recent notifications so you can find something again after you have clicked it.

The bell is not your to-do list

This is the part worth knowing.

The bell answers what happened. Your pending list on My trainings answers what you still owe.

Something you have been asked to read appears in both while it is outstanding, and that is not a mistake. Reading the notification tells the system you have seen the message. Confirming the document tells the system you have read the document. Only the second one is the record.

So if you clear your bell, your obligations do not go away. They are on My trainings under To read and confirm.

If the bell shows nothing

An empty panel means nothing new has happened. If the panel shows an error instead, use the retry button in it; a notification that could not be loaded is never silently shown as "nothing new".
