Quality review and audit

Better Comply keeps two surfaces that make your training program audit-ready: the Quality Review Queue, where a second person approves new content, and Audit, the immutable record of who did what and when.

Who this is for

Quality and compliance owners and administrators. The Quality Review Queue is available to Quality Admin and Corporate Admin. The Audit surface is available to all administrators (Quality Admin, HR Admin, Corporate Admin).

The review queue in one paragraph

When an author submits a new training version, it does not go live. It lands as pending review and an entry appears in the Quality Review Queue. A different person, never the author, opens the entry, compares the change, records a rationale, and approves it. Approval is what makes the version active. This separation is called segregation of duties, and it is enforced by the server, not just hidden in the screen.

See Triage the review queue and Approve content.

The audit trail in one paragraph

Every state change on a regulated entity (content approved, version activated, evidence signed, document made effective) writes a row to the audit log. Those rows are append-only and immutable: they are never edited or deleted. The Audit surface lets you filter and read them, and export compliance evidence for an inspection.

See Read the audit log and Export evidence for an inspection.

Why this matters

Approval requires a documented rationale and at least one source, the approver cannot be the author, and the audit log cannot be altered after the fact. These controls back the ISO 9001 and 21 CFR Part 11 expectations described in the Compliance area.
